Engine died on the way to work near ICAD, how fast can a proper shop turn this around?

Post by willierobinson »

I was driving to my office in ICAD yesterday morning when my 2014 335i just cut out on the road, no warning, just a loss of power and a dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. I managed to coast into a side street and had it towed to a nearby garage but they told me they don't really work on BMWs and I should find a specialist. Problem is I need the car back quickly because I can't keep borrowing my wife's car for work. A colleague mentioned there's a place that does Fast BMW engine repair near ICAD and said they've handled urgent jobs for people at our office before, but I wanted to hear from actual owners before I commit. Has anyone here had an emergency engine issue fixed in that area? How long did it take from drop off to getting the car back, and did they actually fix it properly the first time or did you have to go back? I'm not looking for the cheapest option, I just need it done right and done fast because I'm already stressed about missing work. Any real experiences would really help me decide.
